I think I am a pervert with no place in British society, according to the people I once voted for. We shall have to see how the specifics of this one play out. All my logic says that locking up a reasonable person because she happens to have fantasies involving non-consensual sex, doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

All my knowledge of the nanny-ish British government right now says that nothing they do makes a bunch of sense, if it's pandering to the rabid Right.

The crusader in me says that the sort of people who want and make this kind of law don't believe that women look at porn, and it's rather tempting to prove differently to them.

So anyway, I have to

• finish Bewitching the Senses: the end is written but the Malfoy's party is not
• finish Marauders, Mapped, which is my attempt at "the story that needs all the story codes" for a challenge that was deleted from AFF
• get going with Spinner's End, which is proving difficult because I'm so hung up on how Peter's flesh (saggy because he was plump and then lost a lot of weight fast with Voldie) moves when Snape flogs him. It's quite mesmerising, but not condusive to good smut.

And that is why I do not need plot bunnies like Snape using the portrait into the Prime Minister's study to escape from the Ministry post-HBP, becomes Snape/Tony Blair. Because I don't do RPS, do I?

So, Adult Fan Fiction is about to go down the pan because they haven't paid their hosting bill for six months. You'd know this if you were signed up for the Yahoo group, though you certainly wouldn't if you go and hit the site. There's nothing on the front page; you have to read the latest story to find out...

Now, of course I ought to be frantically trying to raise money. But you know what, I don't really care. The site was a great site when Ayla ran it, but the mods now are so far up their own arses they're coming out of their own mouths. We have one who thinks that "I'm not making any money from this" is an adequate disclaimer for real person slash, and another who signs off every post with "*shrugs*": "give us money if you want, don't if you don't, *shrugs*", and one who thinks that "discussion" equals "flame". Not much any incentive to put my hand in my pocket.

So I'm copying everything that's archived there to here, because I don't hold out much hope. And I won't be updating on that site any more. I can't stand being told "give us your money" in the morning and "shut up and wait patiently" in the afternoon, and being put on moderated status on a fucking Yahoo group because of it.

Author's Note: Spinner's End is a continuation of chapter two of HBP: what happens when Wormtail is sent away from the door by Snape. It's all Wormtail's point of view; I'm aware that little Peter is probably the least sexy character in the whole series (with the possible exception of Filch, and I'm not even sure about that), and I haven't exactly done much to alter that. He seems to have come out as the love-child of Gollum and Harold Lauder (from Stephen King's The Stand).
